Each custom crochet item is priced individually.
I price my items based on how long it takes to complete the item, the materials used, shipping (if applicable) and the difficulty of the item.
I am open to discussing the prices of some of the items so feel free to reach out.

Crochet cannot be machine produced, meaning everything I sell has been entirely made by hand and has taken hours of work to completed. With that in mind, I price my crochet items using a formula that most artists and creators use.
Essentially it boils down to:
materials + (time * hourly wage) = total cost
(+ shipping if needed)
However, if you want a full broken down version that lists all the minute details that go into pricing you can read the equation and notes listed below.
m + (h * $) + (b + s + c) = total cost
h: hours it took to create the item
$: my hourly wage ($15 for full disclosure)
m: materials used. (what your item is made out from. ie cotton yarn, polyester, acrylic, wool, etc)
b: base cost. (This covers the cost of random items and crochet/sewing tools that it took to complete the item such as the labels, fabric glue, string or thread, crochet hooks, sewing needles, polyfil, etc. It also covers business cards, tags, shipping/packing materials (if applicable), instruction labels or information sheets, etc.)
s: shipping cost. (NOTE: It only applies to items that are being shipped. Shipping cost will vary depending on what is being shipped and where it is being shipped to.)
c: custom order fee. (This only applies to custom orders.) Due to the extra time and effort that go into making custom orders I add a custom order fee to the total price.
I put the base cost, shipping cost, and custom order fee in parentheses because they aren’t always applicable and each cost will vary from item to item. (I also sometimes forget to add or intentionally don’t add the base cost because items are already highly priced and I don’t want to make it even an higher price for that specific item.)

Yes! I only accept a few custom orders at a time and I do not accept every custom order proposal.
If you would like to order a custom piece from me please reach out to me and we can discuss further.
Note: The pricing quote is only my best estimate of how much it will cost. Final cost will be calculated when the item is complete. Be sure to mention your price range before I begin an item.
Even more about custom items: If you like my style of crochet I am more than happy to make you a custom item. They do require a little bit of work on your end because I will require measurements from you; the specific measurements depend on what you are looking to purchase.
I work with the customer to create each piece so it fits your measurements and your vibe/what you’re looking for.
There is a bit of trust that goes into this process because I freehand each piece (I don’t follow a pattern) meaning each item is unique. I am happy to attempt to recreate items that I have made in the past, but not items other creators have made (unless given explicit permission within certain circumstances).
If you are looking to purchase a custom item DM or email me at abigailhoopercrochet@gmail.com and we can get the process started!
Please note there is an additional $$$ custom order fee that is added to your total.

HATS: The hats are generally one size fits all for adults and I typically only make child sizes upon request. I am also happy to make a custom hat that will fit you perfectly. Most of my hats are all made with my preferred “pattern” that resides in my head. However exact measurements will slightly vary. refer to custom made to order items FAQ
TOPS: Most of my crochet tops are VERY adjustable due to the corset style or bikini style ties. Even the cups (bust) is very adjustable because of the crochet stitching. Different cup styles and shapes will fit differently and give your bust a different appearance.
CUSTOM PIECES: If you would like a custom piece made to order I am more than willing to create one for an additional fee. please refer to custom made order item FAQ
Crochet stitching will stretch and wear with time and use.

I recommend spot cleaning each item and/or hand washing with (cold/lukewarm) water and a gentle detergent. Then lay flat to dry (without stretching the fabric/stitching).
Colors may run in multicolored tops with the first few washes. Cold water will help prevent staining or extra running. *
Alternate instructions for your item should be included in your purchase.
When in doubt items are not machine washable.
Note: For best results while drying crochet items use the “blocking” technique.
After spot cleaning or washing gently squeeze out all the excess water
Lay item on a flat surface on top of a towel (preferably a towel of like color) and arrange to desired shape
Please note: stretching or pulling the stitching taught during the drying process will “set” the stitching to that size. Ie: to keep material snug make sure the stitching is laid out to desired shape and size
Allow to dry completely before removing
More details can be found by googling “blocking” or “crochet washing” instructions/ tutorials

I accept returns on a case by case basis.
Regardless, I only accept returns if the item has only been tried on and not worn for more than a couple minutes.
I am more than happy to work with you if an item doesn’t fit or needs minor alterations or any alterations that are possible given the specific item.
That being said there are alterations that aren’t possible or require a complete redo (because it’s essentially all one long string). If that is the case we can come to a mutual agreement that typically involves you returning the item and me remaking it (hopefully, similarly to the original item). In this case I would only charge for shipping.
Refunds:
I do not refund items without receiving said item in exchange. (Item must be unworn and in original condition)
If you are returning a custom order for a refund I can refund you the total amount minus the custom order fee.

I ship in the US and Canada. Shipping prices vary case by case depending on what I am sending and where I am sending it.
I haven’t shipped elsewhere yet so I guess we’ll see?
When I ship the item I will send you a copy of the receipt with the tracking information.
